We manufacture technical glass such as flat or float glass in various dimensions for you. Flat or float glass such as D263 T eco, Boro-float 33, Microfloat, Optifloat, and Optiwhite are now manufactured with high-quality flatness and parallelism. In addition to optically polished flat plates, we offer various technical glass in numerous materials and designs.

Thermal and chemical tempering of glass
Thermal and chemical tempering of glass is used in various applications, such as safety glass for vehicles, displays, buildings, or household appliances. The tempering process makes the glass more resistant and safer, providing you with durable and reliable glass for your purposes.
During thermal tempering, the glass is heated to a high temperature and then rapidly cooled. This creates compressive stress on the surface of the glass, thereby increasing its strength. During chemical tempering, the glass is immersed in a bath containing a special chemical solution, usually an alkali metal ion solution. This solution penetrates the surface of the glass and exchanges ions with the glass, creating compressive stress and also increasing its strength.

Thermal tempering
Design
The glass substrate is heated to a defined temperature and then allowed to cool rapidly in air; the glass surface develops compressive tension, resulting in tensile stress at the core of the glass (= annealed glass)

Ions are exchanged on the surface of the glass by a defined treatment in salt bath; this creates enormous compressive forces which improve the properties of strength of the glass
